So, you aren’t celebrating something like you did in the Ceremonial speech, and you aren’t attempting to convince the audience, like you will in the Persuasive speech. You’re just informing/educating on a topic.
Remember to refer back to your Informative Speech Outline and focus on organizing your speech with an Introduction, Body (main points), Conclusion, and Transition Statements. Role of Informative Speeches
A visual aid (presentational aid) is required.
You must also cite sources when using facts/statistics.
For specific values of the presentation, a rubric is provided for review below.
Length: 4-6 minutes. Deduction of 5 points for every 30 seconds under/over the time
(i.e. 6:01 = -5 points, 6:31 = -5 points, 7:00 = -5 points).
