This week, you learned about how humans are impacting the environment and using more resources than we can make up for. Based on what you learned from
Chapter 8 in the webtext:
Consider the ecosystem in which you live. What types of biodiversity exist in your local environment?
How do your daily activities interact with and potentially impact this biodiversity?
How might these insights affect your daily choices and lifestyle?
Typically a substantial post consists of one paragraph that is 5-7 complete sentences and a response to a peer that is 3-4 complete sentences. A substantial discussion forum response should make connections to course content, professional experiences, and personal experiences.

This week, I learned about how humans are impacting the environment and using more resources than the Earth can naturally replenish. This topic is very Important because it helps us understand how our actions affect the ecosystems around us. In my local environment, there is a variety of blodiversity, including different plants, animals, and insects. For example, I often see squirrels, birds, and various types of trees in my neighborhood. These species all play a role in maintaining a balanced ecosystem.
My daily activities can interact with this biodiversity in both positive and negative ways. For instance, when I go for walks or bike rides in local parks, I enjoy observing nature and appreciating the wildlife around me. However, activities like littering or using too much water can harm these ecosystems. Pollution from trash can hurt animals that live nearby or damage plants that are essential for clean air and soil. Additionally, using resources like water excessively can lead to shortages that impact local habitats.
These insights have made me think about my daily choices and lifestyle more carefully. I want to make better decisions that support the environment rather than harm it. Simple changes like recycling more often or conserving water can significantly impact my local biodiversity positively. By being mindful of how my actions affect nature, I hope to contribute to a healthier ecosystem for everyone to enjoy now endure in the future,
