Post-COVID-19, health care organizations witnessed employee attrition as never before and were confronted with unprecedented challenges such as adopting strategic organizational goals and workplace policies that align with the mission and vision of the organization, but that will simultaneously place the organization in a position for growth and sustainability (American Hospital Association, 2020; McKinsey & Company, 2022).

Houghton and Chapman (2022) wrote that “the post-pandemic workplace is nuanced, full of unknowns and at times downright scary”. Considering this, health care organizations have begun to re-examine their company policies, their strategy maps pre-COVID-19 and organizational goals to determine what should be their overarching strategy to remain competitive in their respective market and to generate revenues that will ensure organizational solvency (Dessler, 2023).
